Invisalign and Clear Aligners in Kokomo | Peru Indiana
The Invisalign clear aligner system explained
Invisalign clear aligners are one of the most popular ways for patients to straighten their teeth here at Ladd Orthodontics. The system has several advantages: the aligners are almost invisible, meaning few people will notice you are wearing them. There is no metal in the aligners and no tightening involved in treatment, maximizing comfort levels. The aligners are also removable, so you can take them out to eat and drink, to brush your teeth and to clean.
Is Invisalign the right treatment for me
The Invisalign system can be used to treat a range of orthodontic conditions. If you are interested in this treatment, you should book a consultation with Dr. Emerick, our board certified orthodontist here at our Ladd Orthodontics clinic. She along with her skilled team will carefully examine your mouth to learn more about your dental situation, and will establish whether you are a suitable candidate for this treatment.
Invisalign Step by Step treatment
If your Dr. Emerick decides Invisalign will work well for you, they will start the initial phases of treatment.
The Ladd Orthodontics team will first take impressions of your teeth, and will send these to the Invisalign laboratory in the USA.
You will be called back to our Ladd Orthodontics clinic approximately three weeks later. This is for a clinical check. Using special software Dr. Emerick will demonstrate a virtual 3D treatment plan, enabling you to see how your teeth are expected to move during treatment, and what the end results will be.
So long as you are happy with the clinical check results, you will be asked for a deposit and your Invisalign aligners will be manufactured. Ladd Orthodontics accepts most dental insurance, and offers payment plans, enabling you to spread the cost of treatment.
When your aligners are ready, you’ll be called back to our Ladd Orthodontics practice and your first aligner will be fitted. You should change aligners approximately every two weeks, and will have periodic check-ups during treatment.
A Better Alternative
Invisalign is the clear alternative to traditional metal braces. More and more people are considering Invisalign and clear aligners instead of traditional metal braces due to the positive benefits they provide. We are proud to offer Invisalign, the convenient, discreet alternative to correct the alignment of your teeth. You won’t regret it.
Ease of Use
One of the primary concerns of getting metal braces is how unmanageable they are. Invisalign is a series of custom-made aligners that are easy to use but fortunately not easy to see. Each aligner will make slight adjustments to your teeth’s positions based on what your doctor recommends for you. These aligners gradually shift your teeth and are virtually invisible.
Matching Your Lifestyle
Our clients find this to be a suitable option, particularly because the aligners don’t get in the way of everyday life. People take for granted how their mouth feels until there is something, like metal braces, inside it. Invisalign offers all the benefits to traditional braces, but they are hardly noticeable. This allows you to enjoy an effective treatment without having to concentrate on the aesthetic of braces.
Invisalign aligners are also removable. This a great option for people who may need a break from the inconvenience of braces. You can remove your aligners to brush teeth, improving oral health. We highly recommend this option for people who play sports. Taking care of your teeth is important, especially when any form of braces is involved.
You also have the flexibility to remove your aligners at mealtimes or other situations when it may be more fitting to you. It is also a nice advantage that there are no metal brackets or wires that could cause irritation to your mouth. These brackets and wires eliminate a substantial amount of comfortability, something you don’t have to worry about with Invisalign. Finally, you can witness the progress of your treatment plan.
